About the tour

Meghalaya, the abode of clouds, is one of the most beautiful states in North-East India offering a variety of sights, activities, food and festivals to the tourists. We’ll be in tribal territory, the land of the Khasi people. As the road climbs into pine-covered hills dotted with pretty lakes, the Europeans' nickname for the area, the Scotland of the East, will start making sense.

A splendid destination for photographers - Passing through various deep gorges and ravines, the cool, moist air brushes over your face refreshes and revitalizes your images - The major attractions here are Dwaki & Umngot River that marks the natural connection between India & Bangladesh - this large emerald-green serpent threading its way through the hills, with fishermen’s boats dotting its surface is a sight whose majesty echoes long after you leave it. This expedition strays into the cleanest village in India, Mawlynnong Village which is also known as God’s Own Garden and for all the right reasons. We also photo-experience the magnificent and beautiful Living Root Bridge, unique in the sense that they are thick roots, which are intermingled to form a bridge that can hold several people at a time – a sight to behold !!

Our Photography Experience takes you to one of the wettest places on the Earth - Cherrapunji with its clean and pristine surroundings is an excellent place for untouched beauty. Also planned are shoot sessions at various hidden waterfalls tucked in between evergreen rainforest and flowing with all their majesty and might, with many of the falls plunging into mind goggling blue lagoons. The experience ends at Shillong – known for beautiful landscapes, amazing streets, slice of life and people photography. Hours will be invested in photographing these people, culture, villages, waterfalls, beautiful green lush hills and valleys, shrouded in a layer of occasional fog.

Our photographic adventure is ideal for those seeking a journey with unparalleled photographic opportunities, guided photo-shoots & cultural photo-experience. The participants will learn to use your camera the way most professionals would use it.
