THE PRAYING HAND OF LADAKH : The photograph is shot in the Lamayuru Monastery of Ladakh, which is more popularly known for its vibrant cultural heritage, intricate architecture and breathtaking picturesque landscape. But the most important value this monastery is carried forward from generation to generation since its inception is the rich cultural heritage of Ladakh and its people. The praying hand here is one such valuable cultural heritage been practiced by Ladakhi monks and people since time immemorial, shot while doing it by a lady monk in Lamayuru Monastery during my last visit.

Capturing the essence of tireless dedication, this photograph portrays a diligent man toiling amidst the vibrant chaos of a bustling vegetable market. With unwavering resolve, he ensures the timely delivery of fresh produce to countless eager vendors.
