Sony bags 4 TIPA awards

Continuing its winning streak, Sony cameras and lenses have bagged 4 awards at the 2021 TIPA awards. The TIPA Awards are organised every year to honour the best imaging products in the global markets.

The winners are- Sony Alpha 1 camera, Sony Alpha 7SIII camera, Sony FE 50 F1.2 G Master lens and the Sony ZV-1 camera.

The Sony Alpha 1 has been crowned as the Best Full Frame Professional Camera. Talking about it, the judges had said, “The Alpha 1 offers new dimensions of imaging performance and efficient workflow, giving new creative freedom to professional photographers in the range of sports, wedding, portrait, wildlife and more.” TIPA also called out the Alpha 1’s versatility and “blazing fast reading speed” of up to 30 fps blackout free-continuous shooting. The Sony Alpha 7S III camera won the Best Photo/Video Camera in the Expert Category. Sony FE 50mm f/1.2 G Master lens has won the Best Prime Standard Lens. The lens was praised for “11-blade aperture for stunning bokeh for portrait and nature photography” and “its light-gathering ability is coupled with an advanced optical design that delivers a high degree of sharpness and clarity”. A favourite camera of vloggers, the Sony ZV-1 has bagged the prize for Best Vlogger Camera. TIPA highlighted not just one specific reason for the ZV-1’s dominance but “the numerous features and effects that are purpose-built for content creators.” A few of those “purpose-built” features specifically highlighted were “Directional 3-capsule Mic ensuring that front-facing sound gets priority” and “image stabilization for smooth footage when the vlogger is moving through a scene.” To know more about the Sony ZV-1, click here-
