Sometimes you get introduced to such unique traditions that you are blown off and can't resist laughing ( in good spirit) . A man from the groom's side is invited to bride's house and the women in bride's family apply make up on him as they like , generally they make him look like a ghost or evil spirit . After the lipstick and various other products he was given a broom and he was paraded through the entire street with all the women following him and making evil sounds . Everyone on the street laughed and joined in . When i enquired about it - they said it is done to keep away all the evil spirits from the pious marriage function and from the bride and groom's life .
