Stilt fishing at last hour Stilt fishing is a traditional fishing method practiced in Sri Lanka, particularly in the southern part of the country. Fishermen would wade into the sea and perch on narrow stilts, known as “pillaal,” which were planted in the shallow waters. From this elevated position, they could spot fish swimming beneath the surface and catch them using a simple fishing line and hook. This photograph has been taken at sunset time,It is truly magical experience, a harmonious blend of nature’s splendor and human dedication, forever etched in the memory of those who witness it.
