I have always felt a special bond with the monuments at Hampi, and this monsoon was no exception. I journeyed there, hoping to capture reflections. At 3 pm, I visited Virupaksheshwara Temple, which just reopened after lunch. As people began to enter, a gut feeling made me lift my camera & the frame burst to life with local women in vibrant sarees, evoking the charm of a 90s evening at the temple. Though I missed the reflections, I left with a memory that will stay etched forever in my mind & soul.

On my first photo tour to Sikkim, we visited Tsomgo Lake for sunset. Despite the seemingly warm glow, the temperature was freezing. While capturing the scenery with my team, I noticed an empty viewpoint with a perfect view of the sunset. The sky had a magical purple-blue aura. I quickly set up my camera but needed a subject. With no one around, I became the subject myself, running into position. I had one shot, and I’m glad it worked out. As the saying goes, give it your best shot, and the universe will conspire to make it happen.
