Sony Alpha Series Instagram Photo Contest

Life got flipped upside down for creators over the past few months. Yet that didn’t stop many honing their photography skills at home or in their garden. Many creators are now also getting ready to explore their local area, or even travel further afield. The world may still be changing. Yet discovery and creativity remain at the core of everything we do! So let’s connect as a community and share what we’ve discovered, learned and created.
Sony India is holding a contest for users of Sony Alpha series cameras. To take part share your best photos through Instagram using the hashtag #CreateWithSony.
Entries will be judged based on their creativity, originality and emotional impact. Winners will be announced on Sony group websites and social media channels.
Winning photos from India will also participate in a global contest #DiscoverwithAlpha which will include entries from all over the world.

Winners
Many Congratulations to @camit66 and @iamdhruba_insta on winning the #CreateWithSony Instagram Photo Contest. It was a tough call for our judges but here's what they had to say about the winning images:
Jury Quote - "Practice makes a man perfect- an aspiring kid playing all alone to master his skill set. I love the overall vivid street environment along with the candid style image showcasing the real India. Football fever can be seen in his zest of learning the sport."

Both the winners from India will further be nominated for the global Sony #DiscoverWithAlpha Instagram Photography Contest. We wish them all the very best.

The subject doesn’t matter, as long as it portrays the excitement of discovery and learning from your perspective during this uncertain time. It could be indoor photography, inspiration from small walks around your home or in the forest, simple things that make you happy, a family portrait, pet portrait, macrophotography or anything else that inspired you.

Contest Procedures
Step 1 Participation in the Contest
You must read all terms & conditions before entering the contest – by entering the contest you will be deemed to have agreed to the terms & conditions. Follow the steps under Contest Entry to take part by midnight (CET) on 31th August 2020.
Step 2 Contact of Shortlisted Participants
Shortlisted participants will be contacted via Instagram Direct from ＠SonyAlphaIN Instagram account by the end of September 2020 and will be required to send in their photos with EXIF data intact within the designated period.
*If no response is received within 3 days of being contacted, the participant is deemed to have withdrawn from the contest.
**Please be informed that only shortlisted participants will be contacted.
Step 3 Announcement of Indian Winners
Two local winners will be crowned in India. Winners in India will be contacted by via Instagram Direct from ＠SonyAlphaIN Instagram account by the end of September 2020. Winning photos from India may also be shared via ＠SonyAlphaIN Instagram account and other Sony Group Social Media accounts.
Step 4 Announcement of Global Winners
Subsequently, 5 Global winners will be selected among winning entries from each region, and announced by middle of October 2020 on @Sony.Alpha_photocontest and ＠SonyAlphaIN Instagram accounts, and also on Sony group Social Media accounts and websites. Global winners may not necessarily be local winners in each region.
Step 5 Dispatch of Prizes
Both regional winners and global winners will be notified via Instagram Direct from the ＠SonyAlphaIN Instagram account and will be requested to provide their contact details including address to facilitate the dispatch of prizes.
