How Sony Cinema Line Is Winning Over Wedding Videographers

Features You Need For That Perfect Cinematic Wedding Film

4K Super 35mm recording with 6K oversampling

6K oversampling compresses a vast amount of information into 4K recording and output.

Cinematic colour with S-Cinetone™

The S-Cinetone picture profile delivers a cinematic look, including skin tones and other visual aspects, directly from the camera, eliminating the need for post-production colour grading.

Log recording for smooth cinematic colour grading

For full-scale productions, the S-Log3 gamma curve provided in the FX30 has been designed for smooth gradations, and to make it easier to achieve cinematic image quality when colour grading in post-production.

User LUTs for monitoring and recording

Customisable LUTs, both preset and user-supplied, can be applied to the FX30's LCD monitor and HDMI output to give you a better and more accurate idea of what your final image will look like.1

New Cine EI mode

Cine EI2 offers wide latitude and the highest possible image quality,

Dual Base ISO (ISO800 / ISO2500)

With this feature, you can manually set your base ISO to 2500 instead of 800 in low-light situations. Noise levels at both settings are approximately the same, which allows for cleaner footage in low-light conditions.

Flexible choice of recording formats

The FX30 allows you to shoot in a wide range of formats to suit your shooting needs. You can also select XAVC S-I DCI 4K (4096 x 2160) format, which is often used in cinema shooting. And true 24p (24.00p) can be an option for recording frame rate when you select XAVC S-I DCI 4K.

4:2:2 10-bit recording for greater editing freedom

The FX30 can record 10-bit 4:2:2 video internally when using Long GOP or All-Intra compression, providing more colour information so you can produce fuller, more natural gradations in post-production.
