About the tour

Notably Maharashtra's oldest and largest National Park, the "Tadoba National Park", also known as the "Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve" is one of India's 47 project tiger reserves. A couple of hours drive from the city of Nagpur leads us into the heart of tiger country – Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve which holds a healthy tiger population, in addition to many other mammal and bird species.

The beautiful deciduous forest, scattered with meadows and lakes, is home to many mammals and It has a dense forest area, smooth meadows, deep valleys, and a great atmosphere to stabilize more numbers of tigers, Leopards, Wild Dogs, Sloth Bear, Spotted Deer, Sambar and Grey Langurs. One may also encounter the elusive Four-horned Antelopes or the Madras Tree Shrew also.

In Tadoba, the bird-lovers will not suffer for company. With over two hundred species of birds including peafowl, hornbills, woodpeckers, the Crested Hawk Eagle, wagtails, Incredibly colourful Indian Pittas, Orange-headed Thrushes and Flycatchers, Racket-tailed Drongos with their long beautiful tails and Indian Rollers flying around - one can spend hours trying to spot and hunt for images of as many of these brightly hued winged creatures as possible !!
