Director’s inspiration:
Bharatbala the catalyst

A great idea stems from a great mind, and no doubt, the idea of producing 1000 unique stories about India was bound to excel! Imagining something enormous like the "Virtual Bharat" project could never be so easy, but Bharatbala has been a catalyst who ardently worked with a diversified crew, understanding varied challenges.

The utmost inspiration was his urge to bring creative talent and harness their potential to tell stories that have remained untold and undiscovered so far. Be it the story of Thaalam, known as the rhythm of the nation, in which 150 men from all walks of life come together at the Chundan Vallam races in Kerala. Or the story of Silambam, the pride of Tamil Nadu, Bharatbala exhilarates his audience with every emotion seeded in his stories. Do watch some fascinating films from the series of “1000 stories of Virtual Bharat”.

The peaks & valleys of Virtual Bharat: The challenges

While talking about the Virtual Bharat journey with Bharatbala, we were amazed to see that Virtual Bharat finds its stories in every nook and corner of india. They travel the distance and camp their cameras in the mountains of himalayas, the mighty river of ganga, deepest of jungles and remotest of villages. They ultimately go where the stories belong.Their crew is diversified, making them well equipped to bring out their very best for the creation.

For instance, a recent story being filmed in Chhattisgarh, they have a sound recordist from Uttarakhand, a cinematographer from Kerala, an editor from Mumbai, a composer from Chennai, researchers from some corners of India. Each of these efforts are timeless, both in creation and experiences.
