My candid moments in street-style photography.
I’m a portrait and fashion photographer and, in addition, have been a passionate wildlife photographer and filmmaker for many years. But street-style fashion photography is something I am enamored with. This is one of the contemporary photography styles, that has a distinct genre. The essence of street photography is capturing candid moments of people and their lives. It can be done anywhere and reveals a lot about the photographer and their subjects. This photography style applied to fashion, allows me to capture my subjects' original moments with a sense of flexibility.
The Influence of street-style on my work.
Coming from a background in portraiture, I approach all my images and films in the same way, attempting to capture more intimate moments, whether in fashion, wildlife, or portraiture. And I'm more interested in capturing people and their fashion sense as seen on the streets every day. This idea of capturing how people look in their daily lives and what's going on in the streets simply excites me. I mainly work in women’s portraiture and fashion, and love to aesthetically present the charisma and charm of their most candid moments. Not to mention, this was one of my favorite shoots, and what made it even more special were the two outstanding Sony G-Master lenses that I used throughout the entire shoot.

Many people ask me how my street-style portraits look so stunning, and the only two lenses that come to my mind are the Sony FE 135mm F1.8 GM and the FE 70–200 mm F2.8 GM OSS II At present, I use the Sony Alpha 1 as my main camera and the A7 IV as a backup, and nothing beats the operability and the ease of use of the FE 135mm F1.8 GM, as well as the FE 70–200 mm F2.8 GM OSS II for me.

I wanted to capture the confident and majestic side of the model in each portrait, with perfect clarity and sharpness for this shoot. And since subjects in street photography are meant to move freely, the FE 70–200 mm F2.8 GM OSS II is perfect for situations where you need to isolate your subject, while still having the flexibility of a zoom lens. It has the focal range I need to cover nearly 80% of my photographic needs.

My street-style fashion photography experience with the FE 70–200 mm F2.8 GM OSS II has been fantastic. The lens is very compact and the lightest in its class. It delivers fast focusing and incredible sharpness, which is exactly what I expected.
The only lens that gives a unique look and natural feel: FE 135mm F1.8 GM
I like to shoot with prime lenses and the FE 135mm F1.8 GM is currently my favourite one for all fashion shoots, and not just for street-style fashion photography. This lens allows me to capture my street-style fashion images in a very organic way; from tight full-body shots to portraits, it enables me to shoot wide open without compromising detail and sharpness while still feeling extremely natural in the way color and tones are being rendered. If you've ever used this lens, you will know what a high resolution and breathtaking focal length it offers to make images look so unique and natural.

I have loved the spectacular results these two lenses have delivered throughout my shoots.
135mm F1.8 GM: This lens's ability to combine natural sharpness, skin tone and color rendering, compression, contrast, and bokeh is incredible. I absolutely love the focal length, level of detail, and overall look and feel it offers. When combined with the Sony Alpha 1, it reminds me of the distinct look and feel that mid-format cameras achieve.
FE 70–200 mm F2.8 GM OSS II: The best features of this lens for me are its zooming versatility, sharpness, constant aperture, compact size, lightweight, and image stabilization.
