FEATURES

Versatile fisheye expression

An ultra-wide 180° angle of view captures dynamic spaces, and an 8–14 mm zoom range goes from full-frame circular fisheye at 8 mm to frame-filling diagonal fisheye at 14 mm. The ability to choose the ideal fisheye angle of view for individual environments and creative needs opens up an extraordinary range of expressive possibilities.

Clear and sharp with minimal chromatic aberration

ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass and aspherical elements in a new optical design result in a compact, lightweight lens that delivers performance worthy of the G LensTM brand. High resolution and minimal chromatic aberration are achieved throughout the image area. 0.15 m (0.5 ft) minimum focus with 0.22x maximum magnification enables truly dynamic close-up perspectives with smooth background bokeh for stills or movies.

Fast, accurate AF and intuitive MF

Innovative lens technology ensures that focus breathing is effectively suppressed for smooth, professional looking movies. The linear-motor focus drive system and circular aperture unit are quiet too, so movie audio won't be spoiled by lens noise or vibration. Linear Response MF supports direct, intuitive manual focus control when needed.

Outstanding mobility, operability, and reliability

Compact, lightweight design makes this unique lens a great match for compact bodies, providing ideal balance and handling. Effortlessly shoot one-handed or mount it on a gimbal or rig. Focus, zoom, and iris rings allow intuitive control, while zoom lock and focus mode switches ensure consistent operation. A dust/moisture resistant design2 and fluorine-coated front element maximise reliability in harsh conditions.
